Barbara has 32 years experience in public service, sixteen years in public education and sixteen years in
state government. She is a staunch people’s advocate and works diligently for the voice of the people. She
graduated Magna Cum Laude from Fort Hays State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in
Communication.
Barbara is retired, but continues to provide public service through substitute teaching, writing, developing
children’s learning materials and providing workshops in communication, customer service, healthcare
reform, and empowering children for success. She resides in Topeka, Kansas.
